I love Folk ,Country and Blues and writing songs, usually with a bit of humour in them.
I first started writing songs many years ago when I made up funny songs to keep my grandchildren amused in the car.
I was brought up in Glasgow until the age of 12 and moved down to Yorkshire where I am still living.
When I left school I did some labouring on building sites before doing an apprenticeship as an electrician. I loved it so much that the day my time was done I joined the Army.
I trained in electronics in the forces and got my first posting to the Outer Hebrides where I worked on the missile rangehead.
I then spent a few years in Germany
After leaving the army I lived in Leeds for a few years before meeting my wife and moving to Wakefield.
I was a Senior Systems Engineer for many years before taking early retirement and going freelance as an electronics engineer for a while.
From 1999 to 2006 we spent most of the time in Poole, Dorset living in a caravan.
All in all I have been a labourer, electrician, soldier, market trader, Union shop steward, inventor(I invented a luminous door number device), web designer, electronics engineer,Artist, Domestic Energy Assessor and a PAT tester and now a Singer/Songwriter
My hobbies are, Ten Pin Bowling, Swimming, Scrabble , Crosswords, Playing Guitar, Banjo, ( to a lesser extent) Harmonica and Song Writing.
